The municipality of Torroella de Montgrí is made up of different population centres, the most important of which is the nucleus of Torroella, located to the west of the municipality, at the foot of Montgrí and to the north of the river Ter. Estartit, the other large population center of the municipality, is located at the foot of Rocamaura and in front of the Medas Islands, to the east of the municipality, connected to Torroella by the local road Gi-641. Around this road there are different urbanizations (Les Dunes, Torre Gran, Torre Vella and Urbanització Torre Moratxa). To the northwest of the municipality, there are two small population centers: Sobrestany and La Bolleria, linked to the parish of Bellcaire, although within the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí. Finally, in the extreme northeast of the municipality, closest to the urban center of La Escala, is the Cala Montgó urbanization. In the extreme southeast of the municipality, is the Mas Pinell urbanization, close to the mouth of the Ter or La Gola.34
